President - Rachel Lippa

After serving on the YPNG board for two years as the Creative Director, Rachel decided to take on a larger role as President, with the goal of increasing events/activities and creating more value for each of our members. As a Cal Poly alumni, Rachel has been able to call San Luis Obispo her home for 8 years, and is eager to connect more young professionals within the community and facilitate friendships and networking!

Rachel works as the Sales and Project Development Manager for a local bulk wine/grape brokerage and private label development company. In her free time, you can find Rachel hiking, cooking, scuba diving, traveling, and looking at golden retriever reels on Instagram.

Vice President - Dylan Robertson

Dylan first moved to SLO in 2010, and has been in love with this little town ever since. He attended Cal Poly, studying Civil Engineering, with a focus on Water Resources. After graduating he took a few years to travel, then moved back to SLO and took a job with Caltrans as a Transportation Engineer, designing our local highways and freeways.

In his spare time Dylan enjoys camping, climbing, video games, gardening, and exploring. Dylan joined YPNG 2 years ago and has been having so much fun with y’all. From softball, trivia, and mixers, to volunteering and networking, he has been doing it all.

Come say hi!

Treasurer - Samantha Senet

Samantha is a central coast native who graduated with her bachelor's in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She found YPNG through their softball league, and soon began attending other events. She feels lucky to have found a wonderful community and wants to share it with others.

After graduating from Cal Poly SLO, she began her career working for the State of California, first for the California State Board of Equalization and later for Caltrans. She currently works as a Right of Way Agent, helping accomplish highway projects through land acquisition, utility relocation, and facilitating communication with outside organizations. She is also an animal lover with a 21 year old cat and 4 year old standard poodle.

Marketing Chair - Julia Cannon

Julia studied Civil & Environmental Engineering at Cal Poly and is excited to continue in SLO. She took a few months after graduating to travel and now works for a water and wastewater focused engineering firm. She develops plans for tanks, pipelines, pump stations, and water/wastewater treatment projects across SLO County and is currently working to get her professional engineering license. Outside of work she’s usually trying new food, on a stroll, grabbing coffee with a friend, or taking pictures. Or planning her next traveling excursion.
