President - Rachel Lippa
After serving on the YPNG board for two years as the Creative Director, Rachel decided to take on a larger role as President, with the goal of increasing events/activities and creating more value for each of our members. As a Cal Poly alumni, Rachel has been able to call San Luis Obispo her home for 8 years, and is eager to connect more young professionals within the community and facilitate friendships and networking!
Rachel works as the Sales and Project Development Manager for a local bulk wine/grape brokerage and private label development company. In her free time, you can find Rachel hiking, cooking, scuba diving, traveling, and looking at golden retriever reels on Instagram.
Vice President - Dylan Robertson
Dylan first moved to SLO in 2010, and has been in love with this little town ever since. He attended Cal Poly, studying Civil Engineering, with a focus on Water Resources. After graduating he took a few years to travel, then moved back to SLO and took a job with Caltrans as a Transportation Engineer, designing our local highways and freeways.In his spare time Dylan enjoys camping, climbing, video games, gardening, and exploring. Dylan joined YPNG 2 years ago and has been having so much fun with y’all. From softball, trivia, and mixers, to volunteering and networking, he has been doing it all.

Treasurer - Samantha Senettreasurer@ypng.org
Samantha is a central coast native who graduated with her bachelor's in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She found YPNG through their softball league, and soon began attending other events. She feels lucky to have found a wonderful community and wants to share it with others.
After graduating from Cal Poly SLO, she began her career working for the State of California, first for the California State Board of Equalization and later for Caltrans. She currently works as a Right of Way Agent, helping accomplish highway projects through land acquisition, utility relocation, and facilitating communication with outside organizations. She is also an animal lover with a 21 year old cat and 4 year old standard poodle.

Emery grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska, just south of the Arctic Circle and graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a bachelor's in history. After graduating, he built experience as the clinic director of a multidisciplinary medical clinic. In 2019, he was ready for further growth and moved to San Luis Obispo to start working at Edward Jones Investments. In Emery's free time he enjoys camping and hiking in the great outdoors. He is an avid basketball fan and co-hosts drop-in basketball games at Ludwig Community Center on Friday evenings. Emery is also a movie buff, swimmer and amateur mixologist.

Katie Farrell, MA, BCC, NBC-HWC has 10 years of experience in service- and people-oriented leadership positions. She is a Program Director at the College of Executive Coaching, where she wears many hats, some of which are managing the staff and day-to-day operations of the business, advising students, teaching and marketing. She is also Owner and Founder of Katie Farrell Coaching, where she coaches individuals to align their strengths, passions and interests with their career, life and well-being. The common thread through her career has been developing others personally and professionally. She finds purpose and fulfillment in building meaningful connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds. She is a SLO transplant, originally from South Dakota, who moved here about 8 years ago and has truly fallen in love with the people and place that is Central California. She spends much of her time outdoors camping, hiking or at the beach and also loves traveling, cooking, BBQing, gardening and enjoying connection with friends and family. She lives in South County with her partner John (when he is not at work as a firefighter) and their dog, Jax.
Marketing Chair - Julia Cannonmarketing@ypng.org
Julia studied Civil & Environmental Engineering at Cal Poly and is excited to continue in SLO. She took a few months after graduating to travel and now works for a water and wastewater focused engineering firm. She develops plans for pump stations, tanks, pipelines, and water/wastewater treatment projects across SLO County and is currently working to get her professional engineering license. Outside of work she’s usually getting excited to eat something delish, on a stroll, grabbing coffee with a friend, or taking pictures. Or planning her next traveling excursion.
