FAQ regarding Committee Positions

How do I get involved in YPNG?

Everyone on a committee or in a leadership position volunteers their time, so any help is most welcomed! Every director has a committee, so visit our Events page to determine which area you are most interested in committing to. You can contact the individual directors or if you have a general question, send an email to info@ypng.org

What leadership positions are currently available?

Currently, YPNG has three open positions: Secretary, Treasurer and Socials. To apply for a director position please email info@ypng.org for an application.

SECRETARY - Open until April 13th
YPNG is seeking a new Secretary to be on our board. The position is fun, flexible and a great opportunity to get involved with your favorite organization! The role of Secretary includes: coordinating advertising and partnerships (no sales, just coordination), working closely with the President and other board members, collecting and maintaining various documents, images and logos, keeping board meeting minutes, and much more. As with all the positions on the YPNG board, getting involved in the events is always encouraged too! This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys interacting with others, while working behind the scenes to help make an organization run smoothly.

TREASURER - Open until April 13th
The Treasurer is responsible for keeping the books up-to-date, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, generating monthly reports for the board meetings, direct contact with CPA for tax preparation, preparing business license renewal, direct contact with our bank and merchant service provider and to assist with anything that requires financials for YPNG. This position is geared for someone who is very organized and detail oriented.  Experience with bookkeeping and QuickBooks is strongly encouraged.

SOCIALS - Open until April 13th
Are you outgoing, friendly, fun, and like to meet new people?  If so, this is the position for you! Obviously planning and attending all of YPNG’s socials is a key element of this position. Our socials are the first Wednesday of every month, so having that day open is a requirement.  You won’t be alone though, there is a socials committee there to help you plan the event as well as interact and greet people the day of the social.
